The Colorado Foundation for Water Education accomplishes its mission through educational publications, river basin tours, professional development courses and much more. Membership is a vital part of how we support our programs, so please visit our membership page to register or renew. 2009 Friends of Water Education Golf Classic

CFWE members should watch their mailboxes in July for the upcoming Headwaters magazine, which focuses on water administration in Colorado.

As a preview, view photos and listen to Water Commissioner Scott Hummer describe his work.

Teaching the Poetry of Rivers

Teachers - Log-on to Teaching the Poetry of Rivers and start incorporating the multi-disciplinary study of watershed science and poetry into your classrom instruction. These free lesson plans and resources culminate with students submitting their original poetry to the nationally renowned River of Words poetry contest. Introduce your students to a multi-disciplinary exploration of rivers, literature and poetry writing.
